Form Rule Maintenance page

Form Rule Maintenance is a rule based method of associating data input forms with WOMS jobs.

The WOMS menu location for this page is Menu > Maintenance > Form Rule Maintenance.

The system needs to have Forms functionality enabled to use this feature.

Form templates are created in the Forms web interface and there must be at least 1 present in order to create a Form Rule.

Information

Form rules can be active or inactive and are separated in the form rule list.

  • Active rules will be enforced and control which forms are available to jobs.
  • Inactive rules will have no impact on available job forms.

Every rule requires a name but it does not have to be unique. Toggling the Active checkbox changes the active state.

Rule Details

In order to create a Form Rule we have to select a minimum of 1 customer or contract or job type or status transition.

These can be combined to further restrict the display of certain forms.

Customer

If you specify a customer, the form(s) selected will be available to every job which is assigned to the chosen customer. Multiple customers can be added to the list.

Contract

If you specify a contract, the form(s) selected will be available to every job which is assigned to the chosen contract. Multiple contracts can be added to the list.

Job Type

If you specify a job type, the form(s) selected will be available to every job which is assigned the chosen job type. Multiple job types can be added to the list.

Status Transition

When a form is configured to display on a status transition all applicable forms within the rule become mandatory on the specified transition.

Available status transitions;

  • Start - Will display a mandatory form when the job is started.
  • Pause - Will display a mandatory form when the job is paused.
  • Resume - Will display a mandatory form when the job is resumed from a paused state.
