Gully Reporting page

Gully Reporting is a map based page available as part of the Inspections / WOMS website. This page allows a user to filter and view geographical asset information and export the selected data as a .csv file. When first opened the page will display an overview of all assets recorded on the system and their last recorded silt level (which is represented by the asset color).

The map can be navigated using the mouse (click and drag to move, wheel to zoom in and out) or using the navigation buttons located in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

Clicking an asset on the map will display all the information recorded during the last collection, to close this information window click elsewhere on the map.

Map Layers

The Gully Reporting page will display the United Kingdom in OSM mapping by default. Users are then able to zoom in to level 17 before having the option to then zoom further using local OS maps (licence permitting) by clicking the small white cross on a blue tab in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Map Brightness

The Sun/Moon Brightness slider located in the right-hand corner of the screen allows a user to adjust the brightness of the base map. This is useful to clearly show an overview of your network at a high level.

Filter

Users are able to filter the information displayed on the Gully Reporting page using the 'Filter' button located in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Clicking filter will open the Filter Assets window which allows assets to be filtered by;

  • Current Data (the last recorded collection data for each asset on the system)
  • Historic Data (the recorded collection data for each asset up to a point in time)
  • Activity Report (all data for each asset during a selected time frame)

Each filter can then be further refined using attributes from the asset collection template or location based filters.

Export

Users have the option to export all assets and collection data on screen via the 'Export' button located in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Clicking export will trigger a download notification and the option to save the data on screen as a .csv (comma separated values) file.

There are some important differences to the way unique gully ID's are displayed in the .csv export between Current Data and Activity Report or Historic Data reports;

Current Data

  • FID this field is an internal identifier used by one of our software components. It is used to uniquely identify the location of the data. It can be safely ignored.
  • ID this field is the ID of the Gully in question, when represented as an "Asset" in the InTouch Inspections system. It is used to uniquely identify which Gully is being shown, and is referenced as "AssetID" in some other parts of the system.

Activity Report & Historic Data

  • FID this field is an internal identifier used by one of our software components. It is used to uniquely identify the location of the data. It can be safely ignored.
  • ID this field is the ID of the "History" record in the InTouch Inspections system. It is used to identify the past state of a gully represented as an Asset in the system. Rows without an "ID" value are the latest known state of the Gully in question.
  • AssetID this field is the ID of the Gully in question, when represented as an "Asset" in the InTouch Inspections system. It is used to uniquely identify which Gully is being shown. It refers to the same ID used in the Current Data export's ID column.

For reference, 30,000 assets is approximately a 10mb .csv file.
